The Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union must compare themselves to overcome themselves
Mr. Nguyen Quoc Huy – Chief of Office of the Central Committee of the Union – pointed out a number of points that the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union should pay attention to. For example, the propaganda and awareness raising about new rural construction has not been much innovative. Party development in schools has not met expectations.
Accordingly, it is necessary to promote the model of environmental protection and building a green lifestyle. Especially, accompanying the youth entrepreneurship model.
In addition, the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union should focus on implementing the One Commune One Product (OCOP) program. And focus on promoting the application of digital transformation in propaganda and education…
Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu – Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee – highly appreciated the 2023 plan of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union. He said the City Party Committee always cares, places great trust and high expectations with the Youth Union. However, the Standing Committee of the Youth Union needs to be more proactive in proposals and recommendations.
“Three issues to focus on are personnel work, digital transformation, and start-up innovation. These were the things that used to be a great strength of the Youth Union,” said Mr. Hieu.

Mr. Bui Quang Huy, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Union, suggested that the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union seriously accept suggestions. Accordingly, the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union has traditions that not all units have.
“With its traditions and position, the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union should not compare itself with other provinces, but must compare itself to surpass itself.
Therefore, the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union must be the unit leading the youth movement of the country, must determine such a mentality to take back that leading role,” emphasized Mr. Huy.
