The viral video was filmed from a car parked behind a Tesla. The Tesla driver stopped the car at the gas station, grabbed the pump hose, and struggled to find the fuel cap. At one point, she even hooked up the hose to the car’s charging port. The two men who recorded the scene laughed and ordered the girl to stop filling up the tram.
“What’s wrong with you? It’s an electric car. It doesn’t use gas,” said one person.
Danielle Wright, who lives in the UK, explained to the Daily Star that she simply forgot to use the tram: “I really don’t know what I’m doing. It’s been a tiring day. I’m new too. I drove into the petrol station. thinking about the candy I’m going to buy at the checkout, forgetting that I’m driving a car that doesn’t need gas.”
The video attracted millions of views on social media, even catching the attention of Elon Musk.
“That happens sometimes. Habits are hard to break,” he tweeted.

According to Insider, refueling an all-electric vehicle can damage the vehicle. According to the US Environmental Protection Agency, gasoline or even gasoline vapor entering the charging port can damage the engine or cause a fire.

Wright told the Daily Star that she received “thousands of messages” about the video, but was fine as she was used to the negative comments.
“I’m used to being called fake. Faking this, faking that. People online can say whatever they want, but it really is a shameful mistake,” the girl said.
