Each brand has a different discount policy
Volkswagen
It can be predicted that the Volkswagen SUV will get the biggest discount in the popular car market. Because the price of Volkswagen models in Vietnam is often quite high. Even the price of a low class car can be comparable to a high class car from other brands. Therefore, Volkswagen cars are often less competitive than Japanese, Korean and American cars when it comes to price.

Currently, Volkswagen dealers are selling the high-end cars Tiguan Allspace for 400 million dong, Teramont for 320 million dong, Touareg for 225 million dong and T-Cross for a record reduction of around 200 million dong.
However, despite the massive price cut, Volkswagen cars still cost a lot. Take, for example, the Volkswagen T-Cross. Because the price of the car is up to 1.1-1.3 billion dong, which is equivalent to the D-class group such as Ford Everest, Toyota Fortuner, Hyundai Santa Fe, the following B-class SUV still costs about 1 billion dong. For the “slightly lower” version of the SUV D or the higher version of the SUV C.
subaru outback
Meanwhile, Subaru dealers are applying discounts of up to VND 367 million for the Outback model, which costs from VND 2,099 billion to VND 1,732 billion.
Notably, the heavily discounted car lot is of the latest facelift version that was released in April 2023 and not the older version. This model is currently a CBU imported from Japan.

The Subaru Outback 2023 gets a facelift, but not much has changed. This new version has only a few minor upgrades such as new 18-inch wheels, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto screen, 11-speaker Harman Kardon audio with subwoofer, USB-C connection and X Mode. -Mode adds auto-recovery feature – Photo: Subaru Dealer/Facebook
Mitsubishi Pajero Sport
In August, Mitsubishi Vietnam and Pajero Sport dealer systems offered discounts of 170 million VND for the 4×2 AT version and 220 million VND for the 4×4 AT version. The actual selling price ranges from 960 million VND to 1,145 billion VND.
This offer is applicable on vehicles manufactured in 2022. Vehicles manufactured in 2023 only enjoy a policy of 100% reduction in registration fee.

In the first half of 2023, the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport will sell only 440 vehicles, which is less than rivals such as the Ford Everest (4,411 units) or the Hyundai Santa Fe (2,556 units). The move shows that Honda is trying to push Vietnam inventory. , clearing the warehouse to welcome the new generation launched later this year.
Nissan Kicks
There is also a discount on Nissan Kicks, but not universally applicable. Some agents have offered a cut of up to 110-130 million dong, while there are agents in Hanoi who have offered to sell with a cut of up to 150 million dong. The current listed selling price is VND 789 million for the E version and VND 858 million for the V version.

The Nissan Kicks will be launched in Vietnam in late 2022.
