After revealing the design late last month, on the afternoon of August 10, Hyundai officially announced the details of the new generation Hyundai Santa Fe.
designed for long trips
The exterior design of the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe is now significantly more square, similar to the style that has emerged in recent times with forerunners such as the Ford Bronco or the Land Rover Defender.
The change is in line with Hyundai’s orientation with the new generation of Santa Fe, when targeting customers with a passion for eclectic lifestyle, picnics and long journeys.
The front of the Hyundai Santa Fe 2024 is equipped with all-new H-shaped daytime running lights. The heatsink at the bottom also forms an H-shape reminiscent of the company’s logo.
This interface remains visible behind the car when produced by the taillight system. However, the design of this area is generally simpler than that of the first part.
On the side of the car, the wide and pointed wheel arches emphasize the robust element of the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe.

In terms of dimensions, the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe measures 4,830 mm long, 1,900 mm wide, 1,720 to 1,780 mm high depending on the configuration, and has a wheelbase of 2,815 mm.
The upper frame is 45 mm longer and 20 mm taller than the older version, the distance between the two axles is also 50 mm longer. Luggage compartment volume increased by 91 liters from 634 liters to 725 litres. This parameter appears to have been taken over by Hyundai when folding the Row 3.
Hyundai has also confirmed to increase the legroom in row 2 by 35 mm compared to the older version in the petrol configuration and 20 mm in the hybrid configuration. Third row legroom has been increased by 15 mm. Head space increased by 69 mm. The seats here are 30 mm higher and recline 10 degrees compared to the front.
The video posted by the company refers to the UV-C disinfection tray located in the front glove compartment. The center console has a separate storage compartment which is easily accessible by the rear seat occupants.
Digital rearview mirror, 27W USB-C port, second row seats with armrests and the ability to adjust and recline the backrests (on the 6-seat configuration) are some of the other notable equipment.

As before, the Hyundai Santa Fe 2024 still gets a heated steering wheel, heated/ventilated front seats, multi-zone air conditioning, a 360-degree camera, downhill assist or the ability to deliver 50:50 front and rear traction.
Soft surfaces inside the car interior such as the ceiling, floor mats, seat backs, door panels or seats are made of eco-friendly materials.
4 configuration options for Hyundai Santa Fe 2024
In terms of transmission, the Hyundai Santa Fe 2024 will have a total of 4 options but depending on the market, some options may not be available.
Firstly, the same 2.5L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine as the Hyundai Sonata N Line appears with 278 horsepower and 422 Nm of torque. This version directly replaces the older V6 version at 268 horsepower, 331Nm.
The gearbox mated to this version is an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic. Hyundai didn’t specify whether the powertrain is front- or 2-wheel drive.
The second configuration is the 1.6L hybrid type which is the same from the older generation, the fellow “partner” is still the 6-speed automatic transmission. Only engine parameters have been announced at 177 HP/265 Nm – same as the current version.

The third option that promises to be “standard” in many markets is the 2.5L non-turbocharged petrol variant with 192 horsepower and 246 Nm of torque when mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
Lastly, a rechargeable hybrid variant comes with a 6-speed automatic transmission of undisclosed system-wide specifications. At the moment, Hyundai only offers the independent engine specification of 158 HP and 265 Nm.
In this comeback, the diesel engine option is completely gone in all the markets. Not only the Santa Fe but the new Palisade that will be launched in the next 18 months will also not have the above engine option.
The price of the Hyundai Santa Fe 2024 is announced only when the car is open for sale, but the initial expectation is that the car will surely go up in price due to the better technology.
