The scientific conference “Windows Overlooking the Universe” was organized by the ICISE Centre, Vietnam Science Association in collaboration with the People’s Committee of Binh Dinh Province. The conference had the participation of Professor Gerard T’Hooft (Nobel Physics 1999), Minister of Science and Technology Huynh Thanh Dat, Associate Professor Dr. Phan Thanh Binh – Former Director of Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, Former President. National Assembly Committee for Culture, Education, Youth and Children and more than 200 international scientists.
According to the organisers, the conference will provide an academic platform for domestic and international scientists to collaborate in science, participate in exchanges and discuss the latest discoveries in the fields of particle physics, high-energy physics and astronomy.

At the conference, Mr. Ho Quoc Dung, secretary of the Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee, said: “15 years ago, no one thought that the city of Quy Nhon would welcome thousands of famous scientists and Nobel Prize-winning professors; I had not thought that the country’s first scientific research center would be built.
I look forward to the times to come, Binh Dinh will welcome more scientists from all over the world. And the younger generations of Binh Dinh in particular and Vietnam in general will grow and learn more knowledge about science from the scientists of the world.”
The conference is expected to run till August 12, comprising 31 sessions with plenary sessions and in-depth thematic sessions.
30 Years of the Meet Vietnam Association
Scientific Association Meets Vietnam is a non-governmental organization (NGO), non-profit, established since 1993 under the Law Association 1901 in France, based on experience and the successes achieved by the public. Over the past 30 years, the Association to Meet Vietnam has established the IFIRSE Research Institute, a private basic research institute under the ICISE Center, operating in the spirit and model of research institutes around the world.
10 Years of ICISE Center
The construction of ICISE was started on 11 December 2011 and was inaugurated and started operations on 12 August 2013. With an active contribution to Vietnamese science and world science, the ICISE Center has received the support of the International Council for Science’s high-level sponsorship, including 8 Nobel laureates.
ICISE was born with the aim of developing science and education, helping Vietnamese students and young scientists integrate into the international scientific community, and providing opportunities for younger Vietnamese generations to improve their skills. Increase their level of knowledge through attending meetings and sharing ideas with highly qualified international colleagues.
By 2023, the ICISE Center has organized nearly 150 high-quality international scientific conferences and more than 45 specialized science schools with nearly 10,000 scientists from 35 countries and regions.
