Top 10 best selling cars in July – Data source: VAMA
At least the top 10 best-selling cars in July are still pretty familiar names compared to last month, with the only difference being in the sales order.
Suzuki Ciaz continues to be the lowest selling model, with only 1 delivered to customers. Honda Accord sold only 3 units, which is in second place. At present, the price of both models has been reduced by hundreds of millions of dollars, but it seems that it is still not attractive enough for domestic consumers.
The Honda Civic Type R is on the 5th position in the above list, as this sports car is imported to Vietnam in very limited quantities. Those who have the opportunity to buy this car are chosen to be able to buy it instead of just “losing money”.
Notably, Isuzu D-Max sales were better than last month, almost doubling when 40 units were sold in the market.
However, the above figure is still low when compared to rivals like Ford Ranger (1,175 units), Mitsubishi Triton (232 units) and Mazda BT-50 (65 units). Only Isuzu pickup trucks sold more than the Toyota Hilux in July.
Toyota Hilux, despite selling 4 more cars than last month, still ranks this model at the last position in the domestic pickup segment.
