During the operation, the emergency that occurred on the ship did not Hui Roscosmos announced, allow the ship to operate according to the required parameters.
News agency tass The command and control team is currently analyzing the situation.
It is known that the launch rocket Soyuz-2.1B carrying the space probe Luna-25 was launched from the Vostochny Cosmodrome at 2:10 am on 11/8 Moscow time.
On August 12 and 14, the spacecraft performed two orbital corrections. The automated probe entered lunar orbit on 16 August.
Earlier, Roscosmos said that while orbiting the Moon, the Luna-25 spacecraft had carried out several measurement sessions with scientific instruments and obtained the first research results.
During the mission, the scientific hardware developed at the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IKI) was turned on several times.
While analyzing the data, IKI experts noticed that the Moon’s dust-monitoring PML instrument had recorded the meteor impact event. The meteorite is likely the Perseids that Luna-25 successfully passed on its way to the Moon.
Roscosmos also released the first image of the Moon’s surface taken by the Luna-25 spacecraft. The image shows Zeeman Crater, the third deepest crater at the Moon’s south pole. Its diameter is about 190 km and depth is about 8 km.
