On 21 August, Coachbuild, the car manufacturing division of Rolls-Royce, announced the next project in the “Tail” series. The new super luxury car line, called the Droptail, has a super limited production run (4 cars) like its predecessors the Swepttail (one) and the Boattail (3 units).
In this introduction, only the first car of the group was revealed to be named La Rose Noire. The name on the design of the car is inspired by the French Rose Black Baccara. According to Rolls-Royce, it is the favorite flower of the mother of the family who ordered the super product.
Unlike the previous Rolls-Royce Sweptail or Boat Tail, the Rolls-Royce Droptail does not use the same luxury chassis architecture as the Cullinan, Ghost or Phantom.
Instead, the car uses a new monolithic chassis made of steel, aluminum and carbon fiber. This factor alone means that the car will be priced quite differently from the boat tail.

Although the chassis has been revamped, under the bonnet is still Rolls-Royce’s signature 6.75L V12 engine making 593 hp and 840 Nm of torque. This heart allows the Rolls-Royce Droptail to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 5 seconds before reaching a top speed of 250 km/h.
In terms of design, it is virtually impossible to confuse the Rolls-Royce Droptail with any other car from the British brand, as its exterior is unique.
The “traditional” front end with large chrome radiator comes with daytime running lights and slim headlights. However, the sleek and soft front end of the car gradually transitions to a droptail in the rear area equipped with special taillights.
The stylish spoiler here and the removable front carbon fiber roof are two other distinguishing points of this name.

Also, a special feature of the Rolls-Royce Droptail is the specially designed red color on the exterior of the car, which looks black in the dark but brilliant in the light. Rolls-Royce does this by combining two different distinctive red tones, which the company names True Love and Mystery.
The interior of the Rolls-Royce Droptail took 2 years to complete. This sphere has a delicate texture that simulates falling petals made from 1,603 wooden puzzle pieces. The leather upholstery continues to use the 2 exclusive red tones that appear on the exterior.

In the center of the dashboard is an exclusive watch from Audemars Piguet with a dial diameter of 43 mm. Users can remove the watch whenever they want with just one button.
Finally, inside the cabin, there is also an exclusive Rolls-Royce Champagne Chest, with glasses and trays made according to the owner’s request.
Similar to the sweeptail and boattail, each Rolls-Royce droptail has a different price and is not publicly available.
However, according to CarScoops, each car of this type cost no less than $25 million—enough to make the car the most expensive car in the world at a moment when it overtook Boat Tail’s unofficial record.
