According to sales consultant MG, the brand will launch the RX5 model in September 2023. The seller also added that the model has currently completed the registration process in the Vietnamese market.
MG Vietnam has not confirmed this information. The dealers have not revealed the specific parameters and equipment of the MG RX5.
Thus, it is likely that the RX5 will launch alongside the MG HS. In terms of segment, the RX5 is almost at par with the HS.
For reference, in the Chinese market, the RX5’s dimensions are 4,571 x 1,855 x 1,719 (mm), with a wheelbase of 2,708 mm. Thus, the car is comparable to C-shaped SUV/crossover models sold in Vietnam, such as the Mazda CX-5, Mitsubishi Outlander, Hyundai Tucson, Kia Sportage or Peugeot 3008.
Like other MG members, the RX5 impresses with its youthful and modern design. The front area features a large hourglass-shaped steering wheel, reminiscent of a Lexus.
