After revealing the launch date of the MG RX5, advisors from MG Vietnam continued to share more details about the model’s expected selling price, which is from VND 650 million.
The above figure is comparable to B-shaped SUVs sold in the Vietnam market such as the Kia Seltos (from VND 599 million) or the Hyundai Creta (from VND 620 million).
MG RX5 – C-Class SUV that is priced similarly to the B-Class
With a selling price of VND 650 million, the MG RX5 will fill the gap between the ZS and the HS. Due to which this model will compete directly with names like Honda HR-V or Toyota Corolla Cross.
Though priced similarly to the B-Class SUV, the MG RX5 is classified in the C-Segment SUV segment. The dimensions of the car are 4,571 x 1,855 x 1,719 (mm), the wheelbase reaches 2,708 mm. Compared to the upcoming MG HS, the RX5’s wheelbase is 12 mm shorter.
Under the bonnet, the MG RX5 in China is equipped with a 4-cylinder, turbocharged, 1.5-litre petrol engine producing 171 horsepower and 275 Nm of peak torque, mated to an automatic transmission. 7 levels.
The MG RX5 is expected to be launched in September 2023 with the HS and MG5 manual. Furthermore, there is news that the MG7 and MG4 will be launched in late 2023. However, MG Vietnam has not confirmed this information.
