Truong Van Dao, owner of the YouTube channel ND – Woodworking Art, made a wooden version of the Swedish STRV 103 tank. This is a tank from the famous game World of Tanks.
His son had a toy version but unfortunately it broke. Therefore, he decided to give his son a “real” wooden tank.

The entire journey of making the car was recorded in a video posted on YouTube. Anh Dao uses a steel frame connected by a crawler system to form the foundation of the wooden tank. After that, this basic structure was supplemented with an electric motor, providing sustainable power for the tank – Photo: ND – Woodworking Art

The Swedish STRV 103 is classified as a tank without a turret. It is probably the only tank of its kind since the Cold War. This design makes the STRV 103 appear lower than most tanks, making it easier to hide and harder to hit. The wheel, shovel or gas tank are all wood paneled to add realism and character to the replica made by skilled hands. The front of the car can be lowered with a hydraulic mechanism so that Dao’s son can climb up easily – Photo: ND – Woodworking Art

As an electric vehicle, despite its limited range, this wooden tank can travel smoothly on flat roads and grassy fields. However, it won’t crush cars, climb stairs, and turn heads like a real tank. However, this wooden tank is large enough to make it feel like sitting in a real car – Photo: ND – Woodworking Art

The tank ran like a lullaby. The boy sitting on the tank looks very excited – Photo: ND – Woodworking Art
