The competition was organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union and the Don Ly Tu Trong School, with approximately 650 grassroots central secretaries from 66 participating units participating. The 10 best contestants competed in the finals.
Hone the secretarial skills of the grassroots union
Huynh Ngo Tinh, Principal of Duan Le Tu Trong School – who heads the organizing committee of the competition – said that it is an experiential learning environment for the grassroots federation’s secretariat. So as to identify positive factors, to continue to promote, train and supplement union employees at all levels.
With the theme “Proud of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Cadres”, all the finalists performed outstandingly. For the first time, high school union secretaries participated in a series of competitions on information technology application that required teamwork skills.
The final round was very exciting. The two contestants were paired up and collaborated to showcase their talents through performances of singing, dancing, calligraphy and poetry.
The knowledge test of many questions related to youth union organization and the socio-economic development of Ho Chi Minh City requires diverse knowledge and understanding of grassroots youth leaders.
Excited, nervous about every challenge
The three faces with the highest scores after two competitions are called to the next round: Nguyen Khac Quoc Hue (Don Ward 8, District 10), Pham Van Du (Faculty of Foreign Economics, University of Economics and Law, University of Economics and Law). , National University of Ho Chi Minh City) and Nguyen Le Dung (Central Veterinary Drug Testing Center II) faced off in a bravery test.
This part of the test is designed with round-robin and situation-handling test among three candidates. Finally, in the winning part, the contestant has the right to quickly increase or not increase the number of points available as correct answer is added, wrong answer is subtracted. Only Pham Van Du took up the challenge.
In addition to Nguyen Khac Quoc Hue’s first prize, Nguyen Le Dung won first prize, third prize was awarded to Pham Van Du. Remaining seven students received consolation prizes and some additional prizes.
