The final match saw the competition between two teams from the University of Transportation, Ho Chi Minh City Branch and Gia Dinh University.
Immediately after the opening whistle, the match quickly became intense with the pace and finishing of players from both teams. From a successful escape position, the striker of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport team opened the score of the match with a very strong shot.
After the first goal, Gia Dinh University team attacked but could not create pressure and could not score a goal. But when they moved forward to attack, they created a gap and the opponent continuously penetrated deep into the empty space to score goals.
At the end of the match, Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport and Communications players defeated their opponents by scoring 5 goals and became the champions of the 2023 Ho Chi Minh City Student Football Tournament.
The match for third and fourth place between the University of Finance and Marketing team and Vietnam Aviation Academy was equally tense. As a result, the University of Finance-Marketing team won by a margin of 4-0.
Student Phan Thanh Phong received the best player award and student Le Hoang Tuan received the best goalkeeper award. Both are from the Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport team.
Le Hoang Tuan is also the captain of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Transportation team, expressed his happiness, saying: “We are proud that we were already on the threshold of being eliminated. Fortunately, the whole team made efforts, do not give up Believe and are committed to achieving this victory.”
The 2023 Ho Chi Minh City Student Football Tournament is organized by Ho Chi Minh City Student Cultural House, starting on September 30 with a competition of 20 teams.
