Good models help students with difficulties
Mr. Nguyen Minh Tuan – Teacher, General in Charge of Mac Dinh Chi Secondary School, My Hoa Ward, Long Xuyen City – came up with this model.
The waste sorting house is located in the school premises. The house is more than 3 meters high, inside there are 2 large plastic bins to store all kinds of waste including used plastic bottles and water cans.
Every day, students put mineral water or soft drink bottles in the dustbin instead of throwing them away after they finish using them. After that, Teacher Tuan and his students will collect each type of trash, classify it, and sell it to raise money.
That money will be pooled and saved each week, then used on essential matters like gifts, buying school supplies, and giving money to poor school students.
