Passersby have to reluctantly watch the fireworks show and wait for it to end before safely moving on – photo cut from video, source: CBC News
A somewhat rare accident occurred on the Trans-Canada Highway in East Vancouver, Canada in late October.
At first everything started off quite normally when a pickup truck slowly collided with the rear of the truck in front. However, no one expected that the truck contained $100,000 worth of fireworks. Due to the said collision the fireworks caught fire.
As a result, traffic around the accident site was halted for the next hour as the vehicle carrying the fireworks caught fire. However, stranded passers-by probably didn’t feel bored as the aforementioned fireworks put on a display that lasted for an hour.
A truck carrying $100,000 worth of fireworks was hit, and passersby watched the fireworks for free for an hour.
Since all the fireworks were lit at approximately the same time, the above display was described by passersby as being much more “intense” than usual. Meanwhile, the truck carrying fireworks below caught fire.
The fortunate thing is that the people sitting in the two cars that collided did not suffer serious injuries and they already got out of the car.
