On October 12, the new Toyota Innova was launched in Vietnam, named Innova Cross. Due to the arrival of the new version the original old version completely disappears from the market. However, in many other countries like India, Malaysia or more recently the Philippines, Toyota has decided to sell the older version in parallel with the new version.
The reason for the above viewpoint is that the new generation Toyota Innova has a higher selling price because it uses a new chassis, more modern interior and a hybrid version. However, Toyota did not want to lose the customer base that needed to buy cheap, practical MPVs, so it decided to keep the older version for a while.
In early November, Toyota Philippines quietly announced a new low-cost version for the aging Toyota Innova. This car series, called Toyota Innova

Despite the lower price, the Toyota Innova XE is not much different from the previous lowest-end version. In the transmission segment, the car retains the old frame while still using a 2.8L turbocharged diesel engine with 174 horsepower, 360Nm and a 6-speed automatic transmission.
The main difference between Toyota Innova XE and E is the wheels and lights. The 16-inch alloy wheels were changed to steel wheels, and the included tires (205/65R16) remained unchanged. The LED fog lights on the Toyota Innova E have been removed from the new XE variant.
The remaining safety and comfort equipment of the above two configurations are the same. The car still has 2-zone air conditioning, fabric seats, central touch screen that supports Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, 3 airbags, ABS brakes, EBD electronic brake force distribution, VSC balance control or departure assist.
