This support group consists of 600 medical staff and students from Course 42 to Course 46, belonging to the school’s majors, volunteering at the call and direction of the Ministry of Health.
The delegation will support community sampling, rapid testing and PCR testing in 5 districts and cities including: Ha Tien, Kien Luong, Giang Thanh, Chau Thanh, Hon Dat.
Before that, the delegation of staff and students of Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy also volunteered to support the anti-epidemic work in Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, Dong Thap…
Seeing off the delegation on the way, Assoc. Prof-Dr. Nguyen Trung Kien – Rector of Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy – shared, hoping that the members would cooperate to support and share the local anti-epidemic work to the best of their ability. According to the arrangement of the locality and the head of the delegation; hope to quickly control the epidemic and the delegation will return soon.
The People’s Committee of Ben Tre province also reported to the Government Office and the Ministry of Health on sending manpower and means to support Tien Giang and Kien Giang provinces in the prevention and control of COVID-19. Ben Tre Province, has prepared an RT-PCR testing machine and an automatic extraction machine with a bachelor of testing.
Ben Tre is also ready to send staff to the two provinces on vaccination vehicles and drivers, two rapid on-site testing teams (two people each) and 10 staff members participating in COVID-19 vaccination.
In order to actively prevent and control the epidemic in the two provinces of Tien Giang and Kien Giang, the Government Office has issued an express dispatch requesting the provinces (including Ben Tre) to prepare human resources and means to support supporting Tien Giang and Kien Giang provinces to prevent and control the COVID-19 epidemic.
Tien Giang and Kien Giang are two localities with worrisome developments of the COVID-19 epidemic. The Prime Minister inspected the epidemic prevention work online on September 13.
TThe Prime Minister asked these two provinces to try to control the epidemic as soon as possible, no later than September 30.
