Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Huu Do said that from the 2011-2012 school year, the ministry has implemented scientific research activities and this contest. This is a familiar activity bearing the mark of international integration; the contest was held in the context of the COVID-19 epidemic, but still attracted thousands of students to participate.

Participating in this year’s contest were 71 units including 60 Departments of Education and Training, 11 high schools under the Ministry of Education and Training. The total number of registered projects is 144 projects, 273 students. In which, there are 129 projects at the high school level with 244 students; lower secondary school 15 projects with 29 students.

This year the research projects involved in 22 fields. The contest judges are lecturers and researchers from universities; academy; The research institute belongs to the three regions of North – Central – South.
