On January 14, the Beijing U5 Plus sedan was launched in Vietnam market. The car is okay unit specializing in the business of Chinese cars, used to distribute imported models such as Beijing X7 or Zotye Z8.
In Vietnam, Beijing U5 Plus has 3 versions: Standard, Deluxe and Luxury with prices of 398 million, 468 million and 498 million respectively. Thus, U5 Plus is only on par with some class A and B models such as VinFast Fadil, Toyota Vios.
Beijing U5 Plus has dimensions length x width x height of 4,660 x 1,820 x 1,480 mm, respectively, with a wheelbase of 2,670 mm – equal to the C-segment sedan segment. The measurements of the U5 Plus are slightly better than that of the Kia K3 (4,640 x 1,800 x 1,450 mm, wheelbase 2,700 mm).

It is easy to see that the U5 Plus inherits many design lines from the Beijing X7 SUV that once stormed in Vietnam. At the front, the car has a large grille, placed low, above is a chrome strip connecting the main light cluster. Eye-catching boomerang-shaped fog lights. The rear of the car is quite simple with the logo, the name of the car and the taillights stretching similar to the X7.
Some notable equipment on this C-class sedan is a set of 16-inch 2-tone wheels, electric mirrors, self-folding and drying. The Standard and Deluxe versions are equipped with halogen lights, while the Luxury versions use full-LED lights.

Inside, the interior of the U5 Plus is covered in leather, the seats are manually adjustable. Compared to other models in the same price range, the U5 Plus is distinguished by a 7-inch digital dashboard connected to a 12.3-inch central screen, 6-speaker sound system, sports steering wheel, sunroof. ..
In terms of performance, all versions of Beijing U5 Plus use a 1.5L engine, producing 113 horsepower and 142 Nm of torque. The power of U5 Plus is not too prominent when compared to other C-class models such as Kia K3 (126 hp), Honda Civic (139-170 hp).

Comes with the engine is a front-wheel drive system and a manual transmission with the Standard version, a CVT gearbox on the 2 high-end versions.
Safety technology on U5 Plus includes ABS / EBD / BA brakes, electronic balance, support for slope departure, tire pressure warning, reversing camera, rear parking assist sensor and 2 airbags. The high-end version adds cruise control, a 360-degree camera, pedestrian recognition in the low-speed range, blind spot warning, lane departure warning and 4 airbags.
