The two ministers also discussed the direction of defense cooperation between Vietnam and Japan on the basis that the bilateral defense cooperation has entered a new stage of development.

At the same time, welcome the signing of the agreement between the two countries “Agreement on transfer of defense equipment and technology between Vietnam and Japan”; In the coming time, they agreed to direct relevant agencies of the two countries to actively coordinate to soon sign a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the fields of military medicine and cyber security.

Also at the talks, the two ministers agreed to further promote cooperation in the exchange of high-level delegations, and continue to maintain bilateral cooperation mechanisms such as defense policy dialogue at deputy ministerial level and consultation. staff officers of the armed services; cooperate in cadre training, defense industry, overcoming war consequences and participating in UN peacekeeping operations.
