On the morning of March 24, at the Government headquarters, the first meeting of the National Committee on Youth of Vietnam took place after its consolidation. Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam attended and chaired the conference.
At the conference, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the Government and Prime Minister’s interest in Vietnamese youth and youth work.
He suggested that relevant ministries and branches should closely coordinate with the National Committee on Youth of Vietnam and the Central Youth Union to effectively implement specific programs, in accordance with the spirit of the Government’s direction.
Expressing his respect, emotion and appreciation for the participation of young people on the front lines of COVID-19 prevention and control, logistics and support for affected people, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized in the process of combating the COVID-19 pandemic. During the epidemic, many good traditions of the nation were aroused.
“Not only the medical team, the army, the police, but many young people quietly and quietly do things to support the community,” he said.
In the coming time, the Deputy Prime Minister suggested that in programs and plans on youth work, it is necessary to thoroughly grasp the spirit, require faster and more sustainable development of the country, need to pay more attention to inheritance. promote traditional cultural values.
The Youth Union and the National Committee on Youth of Vietnam need to identify a number of specific and key tasks, in line with the Party’s orientations, policies, action plans, and “orders” of the Government.
The youth force needs to take the lead in applying technology, working closely with the authorities and ministries to make movement work more substantive, and international cooperation activities to be deployed more strongly and effectively.
Therefore, the National Committee on Youth in Vietnam needs to carry out activities that not only take good care of the youth but also pay attention to promoting the youth, promoting the youth, creativity, and dedication of Vietnamese youth. male
At the meeting, the opinions strongly agreed with the draft report on work results in 2021 and direction of tasks in 2022; implementation plan of the Vietnam Youth Development Strategy for the period 2021 – 2030 of the committee; operational regulations of the National Committee on Youth of Vietnam as amended and supplemented.
In 2022, the National Committee on Youth of Vietnam will focus on implementing four key tasks:
Coordinating research and proposing to develop mechanisms and policies on youth and youth work; organizing forums and dialogues on youth policies.
Coordinate and urge ministries, branches and localities to implement the Youth Law 2020, documents guiding the implementation of the Youth Law in 2020, Vietnam youth development strategy for the period 2021 – 2030.
Review, investigate and evaluate the implementation of policies and laws for youth from full 16 to under 18 years old and a number of other fields.
At the same time, organize state foreign affairs activities on youth.
