According to the technology page TechCrunchRay-Ban Stories smart glasses allow users to take photos, record videos with 2 5MP cameras, make phone calls and listen to music.

To fully exploit all the features of the glasses, the device must be connected to an iOS or Android device. However, users of Ray-Ban Stories glasses can take and store hundreds of photos or dozens of videos right on the glasses before downloading to another device through Facebook’s View app.

The glasses’ dual cameras also allow users to add 3D effects to photos/videos after they’ve uploaded to the View app.

The glasses are quite light, weighing less than 50g, with a leather case and charging box. The manufacturer advertises the battery capacity as “all day” and according to the site’s independent review TechCrunch this information is correct.

Users can control the Ray-Ban Stories smart glasses with physical buttons, including a button to press capture / record and an on / off button. The right frame of the glasses has a touch control for users to increase / decrease the volume or answer the phone.

The white LED light on the glasses will flash to let people around know that the person wearing the glasses is recording a video.

One point worth noting is that this glass is not equipped with waterproof or dustproof features. Facebook’s Ray-Ban Stories smart glasses come in 3 designs with a number of colors and corresponding eyewear styles. Pricing starts at $299.

Note that you will not find the Facebook logo on this product.
