Floods kill more than 1,000 people in Pakistan

The Pakistani government said it is doing its best to help the people. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also canceled a trip to Britain to oversee flood response, ordering the Pakistani military to use all resources for relief operations.

“I can’t describe in words how devastating the flood was when viewed from above,” Mr Sharif said. “Towns, villages and crops were flooded. I don’t think this level of devastation has ever happened in Pakistan.”
