At the end of February, the auto market recorded a decrease in sales of many car models, due to coincide with the Lunar New Year holiday. However, Hyundai Grand i10 has a slight growth. This A-size car sold 987 units, an increase of 77 units compared to January, thereby, occupying the number one position in the segment of VinFast Fadil for many months before.

However, since the beginning of the year, the Korean model has achieved a total sales of 1,897 units, still lower than the 2,098 units of VinFast Fadil. Experts predict that if VinFast tends to reduce Fadil production after announcing that it will stop producing gasoline cars and focus on electric cars, the Hyundai Grand i10 will soon regain the leading chain of sales of a year ago.

The last time Grand i10 won the crown of the segment was January 2021. Since then, the Korean A-size car has been continuously surpassed by VinFast Fadil. The hatchback of the Vietnamese brand has made a miracle in a segment that has a lot of choices and the throne often belongs to the Grand i10.

With positive results in February, Hyundai Grand i10 also returned to the group of 10 best-selling cars in the market, after falling out of this group since November last year. Before that, Hyundai’s cheap car line was one of the names that regularly appeared in the group of 10 cars with the best sales, even leading the market at many times.

In the lowest price segment of the market, Hyundai Grand i10 and VinFast Fadil chase each other quite fiercely. Meanwhile, rivals such as Kia Morning, Toyota Wigo and Honda Brio have far worse sales.

The current generation Hyundai Grand i10 will be launched in Vietnam from August 2021, with many changes and upgrades. This car line currently has six versions, priced from 360 to 455 million VND.
