The pro-Russian authorities in the four provinces of Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Lugansk and Donetsk announced on September 27 that they had counted all the votes in the referendum from September 23 with the results of 93.11%, 87, respectively. 05%, 98.42% and 99.23% of voters chose to annex Russia.
The Kremlin says the referendum votes have legal implications and also create security implications, alluding to warnings that Russia could use nuclear weapons to “defend territorial integrity.” after the annexation of four regions of Ukraine.
