Firefighters urged people to stay away from the area of ​​the market fire in the southern suburbs of Paris, while 100 firefighters and 30 fire engines struggled to contain the blaze at the Rungis international market.

Captain Marc Le Moine, a spokesman for the Paris Fire Service, said there were no injuries. The fire was under control and there was no risk of fire spreading from the 7,000 m² (1.7 acre) ballpark-sized warehouse.

Le Moine added that the cause of the fire has not yet been determined but will be investigated.
