The temples built close to the mountains or on the flat hilly terrain are nothing to mention. China has only one temple complex that is considered the most “dangerous”, because it is located on the top of a majestic craggy mountain more than 2,500 meters high. That is Pham Tinh mountain – one of the most mysterious mountains in China.

Mount Fan Jing is a very famous Chinese Buddhist mountain in Guizhou province, known by the Chinese people as the Bodhi of Maitreya Buddha.
Mount Pham Tinh is about 2,500m high above sea level, a towering mountain with clouds all year round, hailed as a fairy scene in the human world.
Because of such a unique terrain, many people want to come here to worship Buddha, but without stable health, it is impossible to climb to the top of the mountain. The two pagodas are located on two split rock peaks of Pham Tinh mountain, in the middle are connected by a stone bridge, looking extremely dangerous.

The two temples worship two different Buddhist faiths. One side worships Shakyamuni, so it is called Shakyamuni Palace, symbolizing the present. One side is to worship Maitreya Buddha, so it is called Maitreya palace, symbolizing the future.
The miracle is that these two pagodas will be surrounded by red-pink clouds every morning, from which people call the mountain peak separating Pham Tinh “Hong Van Kim Dinh”. The way up the mountain is very difficult and bumpy. Visitors can only climb by artificial stone steps, there are a total of more than 8,000 steps.
The process of going up must also be very careful, it is imperative to grasp two steel lines with fixed sides to avoid falling down. There are extremely bumpy sections, it is necessary to combine hands and feet to slowly climb up.
Because the road to the mountain has a high risk, Pham Tinh mountain always limits the number of visitors to join each day, and the elderly and children are recommended not to climb the mountain.

Reaching the top of the mountain, you will find two temples that are not too large, the area occupying the two peaks of Pham Tinh mountain. The stone bridge connecting the two pagodas seems to be suspended in the air, creating an extremely spectacular feeling.
Standing on the top of the mountain, looking at two ancient pagoda architectures surrounded by thousands of clouds, makes people feel like going to a fairyland. People who come to worship Buddha are also self-consciously quiet, slow down their steps, and sincerely line up to enter the temple to worship Buddha.

Temple construction requires block stone materials, stone bridge repair also needs many different materials. Ancient China still did not have the help of modern machinery, so how did the ancients manage to transport such heavy materials to the top of majestic mountains?
Up to the present time, there is still no reasonable explanation for this mystery and there are no documents to record how to transport construction materials up the mountain. In addition, researchers discovered that the temple on Pham Tinh mountain has existed for more than 500 years since the Ming Dynasty.

Over a long period of time, the two pagodas on the twin tops have been restored and reinforced with more durable materials to withstand the wind and the harsh environment at altitude. However, the building still retains the original architectural form.
The area of Fan Jing Mountain has been planned by the government as a nature reserve of Guizhou province. The natural environment of Pham Tinh mountain is home to more than 2,000 species of plants and hundreds of rare animals.

Hundreds of millions of years ago, Pham Tinh mountain slowly rose from the ocean floor. Stunning landscapes such as steep cliffs, deep valleys and waterfalls formed between 1 and 1.4 billion years ago have survived intact to this day.
