A woman has been banned from keeping animals for life after ‘flushing a monkey down the toilet’ and supplying it with drugs.

Vicki Holland, from Newport, Wales, was sentenced to 12 weeks of probation, 12 months of prison, and banned from keeping animals for life after police seized footage of her abusing a monkey named Milly. .

Things took a turn for the worse when Vicki posted videos showing the animal crouching in the toilet and then being flushed repeatedly. Vicki then gave the animal items, including cocaine.

Vicki’s neighbors also revealed that she often cursed, beat and dragged the animal out to play with neighbors.

However, when summoned to work, Vicki said she had sold Milly last week.

Police later found the animal at the address Vicki provided and turned the animal over to primate specialists at Monkey World, in Dorset, for ongoing care.

Holland pleaded guilty to three violations of the Animal Welfare Act on November 18 and was convicted in Newport Magistrates Court on December 10.

In addition to the suspended sentence and the animal ban, Holland had to pay £420 in costs and £128 in co-payments to the victim.
