US official arrested on suspicion of killing reporter

Nevada official arrested on suspicion of stabbing reporter Jeff German, who was investigating him.

Robert “Rob” Telles, an official with the Clark County Community Board of Governors, Nevada, USA, was arrested by the SWAT police special unit at his home on September 7, hours after investigators obtained a warrant. search and confiscate the official’s vehicle.

German has multiple stab wounds on his body. The Clark County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed German died from a sharp object stabbing and this was murder.

Telles’ office has not yet responded to reports of his arrest.

Telles, 45, has been at the center of articles by a German reporter, accusing the politician of bullying, favoritism and having an illicit relationship with a subordinate who did not work properly.

Reporter German joined the Review-Journal in 2010, after more than two decades at the Las Vegas Sun as a reporter covering the courts, politics, labor, government and organized crime.
