Behind bars, his fantasies of massacring the rich began to rekindle. Yoo read articles about the serial killer of the killer Jeong Du-yeong, who also has a grudge against the rich and thought that this was the role model he wanted to be.
On September 24, 2003, he went to the upscale neighborhood of Sinsa-dong tyaij Seoul and sneaked into a two-story house owned by 72-year-old Lee Deok-su, a Sookmyung University professor, and his 68-year-old wife, Lee.
